So I have started to make these little kids market bags for my granddaughters as part of the Plastic Free July that we are participating in http://www.plasticfreejuly.org/ This means instead of using plastic bags for our groceries we take our own cloth ones. Plastic bags are killing our oceans, people are being very careless with their rubbish and this is resulting in our oceans being constantly polluted, which is in turn being consumed by the animals of the sea with devastating effects on the marine life. We have forgotten our bags on a few occasions but we find we are getting better at it. This will go past July for us, if we can help just a little bit then I think it’s our duty to do so.
My granddaughters are loving their bags and actually take them everywhere, it’s been a bit of a novelty filling their little bags with grocery items and it’s sending a good message. I have decided to keep making them and sell them, which I haven’t decided on a platform as yet but the plan is there LOL! I will sell them for $15 plus postage. Watch this space as I make more!
