Crazy Times…..

Well you gotta wonder are we ushering in the end times or what?!  Look at what is happening in the world this moment. We have in our country a massive debate and plebiscite about gay marriage, we are on the brink of war with Korea, which has been prophesied for many years, we have people who can’t afford food, homelessness and hopelessness is on the increase, man will do just about anything for money no one is happy, no one wants to help the less fortunate, we have become a race of assholes to be honest, but look at scripture;

Matthew 24:6 – And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all [these things] must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

Matthew 24:7 –   “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another.

2 Timothy 3:5 –  having an appearance of godliness but proving false to its power;+ and from these turn away.

2 Timothy 3:1-4 ;But know this, that in the last days+ critical times hard to deal with will be here.  For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal,  having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness,  betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God.

These are only a few of our ‘signs and warnings’ scriptures and look how accurate they are for our times now.  Man, it’s crazy hectic stuff,  but we are to be encouraged that if we know the love of God then we need not worry. Well I for one am going to make a bigger effort to know the Word of God so I can usher in the end days without fear for myself, my kids grandkids and the rest of my family.  I am going to give where it is needed regardless of my own financial situation, because you know what, no matter how bad my crap is, someone is always doing it tougher!

When You Have Nothing Else

Sometimes I find that I will come to God to pray and all of a sudden not know what to pray. And sometimes we find ourselves being a little bit repititous. What we need to remember is God knows our needs before we do. Jesus said to pray in this manner……

Matthew 6:9

This is such a powerful prayer and pretty much covers everything. Teach your kids this prayer and it shall not depart from them and it will give them strength in their time of need.

Be blessed everyone!

All The Thanks Go To God….

I am so excited to tell this story I can hardly contain myself!  So, this last fortnight I wanted to sow $50 to our local Christian radio station but after working everything out I just didn’t have the spare cash.  As I have said in a previous story I was like “Well I will catch up when I have more money” but I always feel bad that I can’t help.  Over the past week I have been really trying to listen to what God is telling me, I am reading scripture every day again and really practicing walking by Faith.  So guess what happened today?  Mu hubby rings this morning from work all excited because he has just found $50 at the dump (he was dumping stuff from a job they were on). He just looked down and there it was!! Straight away I knew it was from God and it was the provision I needed to sow. I had $50 left in our bank account and I went and sowed it straight away!! I was so excited!

I think what I want to encourage you with today is this…..God moves in very subtle ways, if we aren’t tuned into him we will miss the blessings he puts in front of us.  I have long been waiting for these huge blessings to come raining down on my head and it was stupid thinking and wrong minded. Since letting all that go and just really trusting God with everyday issues and changing the way I think I have noticed He is always there and always has been, I just wasn’t looking properly.  God isn’t going to drop gold bars on my head because apart from the sheer weight killing me it’s just not how He works.  He will bless us according to our maturity to handle it, small at the start so we can acknowledge it but stay grounded in it and really see that it is from Him. Can you imagine if we all of a sudden received a million dollars in the bank? We would stuff that up pretty quick I imagine because we would be that focused on the money we would lose the focus of God’s blessing. We aren’t mature enough to deal with that just yet, but man it’s coming I can feel it. God prepares us for great things, but we have to walk to them with God and trust his ways before we reach the end story.

Another thing happened this week that was also stressing me out royally.  We have a credit card that is maxed out at present, I haven’t been meeting the minimum payments and they accumulated to nearly $300.  We got a very nasty pay up letter from them or you will go to the debt collectors and I was like OMG this can’t happen we don’t have dodgy credit how am I going to pay this.  I payed $60 and then prayed.  I asked God to please handle this as the stress was really making me ill and I left it at that.  I have a redraw facility with our home loan so I was going to take the money out of there.  All yesterday I kept feeling compelled to only take $100 from that account so I did.  I opened up my credit card account to pay $100 off it and bugger me there was only $100 owing on it!!!! Like Ummmm where did the rest of it go?? I know where but wow, just wow.  I paid the $100 and now have a credit which is just a miracle.

I had never seen God moving like this in our lives before so this is proper revelation to me.  As Christians we know God is there but few of us really see the blessings that are meant for us.  Big things are happening in the body of Christ and we need to pray more often, pray for our countries and be so super thankful that we have God in our lives and just wake up every day and give him thanks!

What Is Your Treasure?

I came across this scripture the other day and I do believe the Holy Spirit led me here because I have read it a hundred times before but really missed the meaning of it. The thing that really smacked me in the face was verse 21, you’re treasure is where you’re heart is! I was like Ohhhhhh Myyyyy Goodness how did I miss this!

Where your treasure is your heart will be also……..I think what Jesus is trying to say here is don’t make things of the flesh your treasure because they will surely lead you to crap but make Jesus your treasure, the Kingdom of God your treasure and that’s where you heart will be also.  If you treasure Jesus and the Kingdom of God above all fleshly treasures, then you shall really know what true treasure is. See we think of money, houses, flash cars, jewellry, possessions as our treasures, we measure our worth by the amount of fleshly treasure we have but we are forgetting and ignoring the REAL treasure which is Jesus.  Fleshly treasures will erode, decay rot and need replacing but the love of Jesus will never decay, it is always there for us to grab hold of, hope in, love, and TREASURE.  This is where we are really missing it, if we treasure the Kingdom of God and Jesus then the fleshly treasures will follow anyway, but this time we have Jesus to keep us from corroding away as well, make sense?

We are in the end days and we really need to start understanding what God is trying to tell us in the Bible. Pray for wisdom before you read and he will show you truths that only he an give you!

This Will Help Someone…..

In my inbox this morning was this wonderful message that I really felt I was meant to read today.  You see, the bills are creeping up on me, my Faith has waned a bit because the bills are creeping up and taking all my focus at the moment and I seem to be running around in circles and not listening to what God is telling me.  So have a go at this:

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.

– 2 Corinthians 9:8

If you have a desire to give, yet financial failures keep holding you back, you may be surprised to learn that what you need is not more money. What you need is a spiritual breakthrough. You need to take the Word of God and shatter the images of poverty and lack within you. You need to replace them with a vision of the sufficiency of God. Then more things, including money, will come.

How? By spending time thinking on the prosperity promises He’s provided for you in His Word. By meditating on them. By believing you receive those promises actually being fulfilled in your life.

Begin to see yourself, for example, being a generous giver to people in need. In your mind, see yourself as a giver instead of the one who is always in need. Each time you do, the promise of God will become more real to you and your faith will grow.

“Oh my, Brother Copeland, surely you’re not saying I should use my imagination!”

Yes, that’s precisely what I’m saying. What do you think God gave it to you for? Coupled with the Word of God, your imagination is a tremendous thing. However, never forget without the Word, your imagination will become worldly and bind you instead of feeding your faith.

Let me warn you though, sometimes creating such new images of hope is tough—especially when there are old images of doubt blocking the way. If you’ve been broke, for instance, all or most all of your life, it may take awhile for you to see yourself prospering in God. But you can do it if you stay in the Word.

Just keep meditating the Word of God. Eventually you’ll be transformed by the renewing of your mind. When that happens, financial failures will never be able to stop you again.

I get daily inspirational messages from Kenneth Copeland Ministries and while a lot of people don’t like them, I find their messages to be very strong and always right in my circumstances and today it’s BANG ON THE MONEY!

I try to sow every payday but there is never enough left to do so, it is always in my thoughts, “oh one day when I am rich I will give to these people who need it”, then another bill will come in and the mindset goes back to “Holy shit how am I going to pay this and we will never get out of this mess” guess what? we never do!  So this Word in my inbox today has really spoken to me loud and clear, I am going to start to make an effort to live by Faith and change my stinking thinking! I dare you all to join me!
